i-TFL series - Laser Marking and Traceability System for Glove Industry
i-TFL series is specifically designed to enable precision laser marking of 2D datamatrix or QR code onto the target material and allows tracking and traceability of the target material in terms of location and lifespan or current condition of the target material.
In the glove industry, the target material is the ceramic former. The ceramic former acts as a mould for the rubber glove and any degradation in the mould will directly impact the quality of the finish product. Since the ceramic former is mounted in a conveyor system in closed loop, a degraded ceramic former will need to be identified and replaced as quickly as possible in order not to affect the production and to minimize the factory loss due to quality issue of the finished products.
i-TFL laser series is based on fiber laser technology and coupled with high energy, short optical pulses, this allows a high resolution 2D datamatrix/ QR code marking on the ceramic former. i-TFL laser system also comes with the inspection check on marking quality; a specific 2D camera reader to decode the marking on the ceramic former.
Once the marking quality is verified, the information decoded will be stored in the cloud database automatically. A separate 2D camera reader will be installed in the conveyor system and this is to be used for tracking all the ceramic preforms that are currently in used. Any issue found on the finished product can be then immediately traced back to the degraded ceramic former.
